Rahvapinks mid-season status

This season, my big objective in term of results is to finish in the first 3 of the Rahvapinks 400+ competition. There are 10 days played over the season, and the final ranking will take each player’s 7 best results. 5 days have been already played, let’s see how I did.

Day 1: Bronze to start

Season started strong, with a first medal at Rahvapinks (full results). Only loss that day was against a player, who “scared” me with his powerful shots. But I’ve beaten him twice since.

Day 2: Another bronze

Confirming the progress on the consistency side, I got another podium (full results). Only loss was against a long pimple player. But the next time I met him, I corrected my tactics and won 3–0.

Day 3: Gold!

I’ve written extensively about this great day! Here are the full results.

Day 4: The miss

I suppose I didn’t handle well my status of first seed.. I started the day with a loss and a very poor game. And then Ilost a second match as well. Level of play wasn’t that bad overall, but results were disappointing. I ended up 7th (full results).

Day 5: Back on the podium

Back to the good habits of making the podium with a new 3rd place. There was one very bad match on quarter final, where I completely lost my focus and serenity (I however beat the same player later that day in the bronze medal match 3–0). The other matches were very satisfying however, including two 3–1 against long-pimples and anti-spin players, and a very promising offensive game (full results).

Summary

The rules are that a 1st place brings 201 points, a 2nd place 200 points, a 3rd 199 points and so on. At the end of the season after the 10 days, the 7 best results are counted.

So far I’m first at mid season in number of points :-) I’m also the one that has won most medals (4).

Being in the first 3 at the end looks very doable now, and I’m upgrading my objective to being first.
